How many years of experience do you think it takes to say you are an expert in the paranormal?

I don't think anybody, regardless of years and/or experience can be considered an expert. Put simply, its an unproven and unscientific/untested field. What results, say, the CRPT, may get on an investigation, cannot be validated by another group using the same techniques and equipment. Or, they may get something completely different or arrive at different conclusions.
Calling someone an expert in paranormal research is like calling a plantation owner an expert on slavery... simply because they owned slaves. Years of experience do not necessarily equal expertise. Are we supposed to call the writers of Star Trek experts on theoretical physics and space travel?
